Shelby Township's 2009 Christmas Aglow
On Thursday, December 3 the Shelby Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department officially kicked off the Christmas Season with their annual tree lighting ceremony on the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds. The event, which was co-sponsored by Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union and Dr. Ban R Barbat, featured caroling with the Eisenhower High School Choir and Band, Chris Kringle’s Craft Castle, Santa’s Snack Shop, a horse-drawn wagon ride, marshmallow roast, and of course, a visit from the jolly old guy in red and his wife!
Our volunteer photographers, Ronda and Gary Leideker took time from their busy schedules to take a number of photos at the event. Some of them are below. If you see a family member pictured and are interested in a higher quality copy, please contact us at shelbyprm@shelbytwp.org or the Leideker’s at shelbyphotocouple@live.com
