Parks & Recreation Committee Information

Shelby Township’s Parks & Recreation Committee works in cooperation with the Parks, Recreation & Maintenance Department and the Shelby Township Board of Trustees as an advisory and research team with regard to park, athletic, and recreation related projects. The Committee meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Parks, Recreation & Maintenance Department. Some projects that the Parks & Recreation Committee has been involved with in recent years include:

  • Research for a Recreation Facility
  • Ford Field Central Park
  • Woodall Skate Park
  • Shadbush Nature Center
  • Lombardo Park
  • Kid’s Day
  • Fireworks
  • New Playscapes at Various Parks
  • Recreation 5 Year Plan
